MINUTES OF THE INTERIM BOARD MEETING
(Held at Backstreet Cafe,
1780 Chandlers Lane, Unit 7, Sunset Beach, NC)
August 25, 2017

Members present: Kristen Colleran, Sandy Ford (facetime), Neil Gilbert, Jan Harris, Ted Janes (facetime), Anne Neely, Dale Todd, Greg Weiss, Dwight Willis
The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. by BEAT President Neil Gilbert.
The new draft of the BEAT mission statement, vision statement, core values, and by-laws were introduced by Greg and Ted. The Board systematically reviewed all suggested changes, offered comments and recommendations, and ultimately approved the documents (pending attorney review of the indemnification and conflict-of-interest articles).
Neil described the forthcoming (tomorrow) Women’s Equality Day in Southport (led by Kristen Colleran) and BEAT’s sponsorship of a table.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
