Speaking to the Brunswick County
Newcomers Club on February 14, 2018
On Wednesday, February 14th, Neil Gilbert performed his last official act as President of BEAT when he gave a power point presentation on BEAT to the Brunswick County Newcomers Club at a full house at the Sunny Side Up Diner in Calabash. With the assistance of BEAT member Tom Goodwin, Neil discussed the history, growth, and mission statement of BEAT. The second half of the presentation focused on the topic of offshore drilling and BEAT's effort to get the Brunswick County Board of Commissioners to propose a resolution opposing offshore drilling.
Following the presentation, a very interested Newcomers Club asked questions for a half hour asking how members could become more involved in BEAT. BEAT would like to thank John Malm and the Newcomers Club for their invitation to present and for their warm hospitality.
