Participation in Sunset at Sunset

in Sunset Beach on October 6, 2018

Thanks to its wonderful volunteers and the terrific coordination of Neil Gilbert, Sunset at Sunset was once again a fun, exciting, and productive day for BEAT.

Special thanks to all of our booth volunteers (Teddy Altreuter, Linda Eastman, Dan George, Neil Gilbert, Barbara Kucinski-Gilbert, Joe Leary, and Anne Neely), to Barbara Stanley and her granddaughter Liv for staying the entire day and raising money for BEAT through their great face-painting. and to all those who joined BEAT, paid dues, bought t-shirts, and contributed money to show their respect for BEAT's work.

Main topics of discussion with visitors to the BEAT table were Jinks Creek and offshore drilling. Visitors were also made aware of the County Commissioners Meeting on October 15.

Overall it was a successful day as several thousand people visited the Sunset at Sunset Festival.
